For the blue and gold one: I used the blue left over fabrics from my sister's wedding cape and gold satins and then accessoried it with matching colour trims. For the Red and cream one I used red velour and gold and cream satin fabrics. Inspired from the buttons I used on it. For the one and silver one I used all satin fabrics also inspired by the buttons. All of them used the same black velour left over fabrics from my sister's wedding cape.
What was your inspiration?
In a crazy quilting group we had and exchange for Victorian Boot Stockings.. I looked to see if there was anything I liked and found the pattern for these.
I was inspired by the left over black velour fabric I had for the shoe of the boot and decided to use left over fabrics from my sister's wedding cape to make her one and a couple more for the exchange.
What are you most proud of?
That I was able to surprise my sister with a little something she could treasure.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make sure to have double sides fusible interfacing... it made things much easier!
