Red Heart "Leaf", "Cherry" and "Medium Thyme", G Hook, small pieces of felt for eyes, nose and antenna. Small amount of multicolored yarn for the "fur" on the back. Pipe cleaners in the middle to attach the segments and make the caterpillar bendable,
What was your inspiration?
A dear friend of mine is expecting her first Granddaughter in April. The nursery is decorated in everything "Very Hungry Caterpillar" and my friend asked me to make this toy for the baby shower.
What are you most proud of?
I really enjoyed designing this pattern. I had found a pattern online but it just wasn't what I wanted so I made up a new design.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Buy yarns of the same weight and ply for this project.
