Very hungry caterpillar prints Embroidery thread August Block of the month for fruit eaten by caterpillar
What was your inspiration?
The expected arrival of my first Grand-neice. I wanted to make a play mat for her.
I also got the idea of double bordering (3cm edge of dots and then 3cm edge of the main colour) each of the fruit squares. I used ideas from August Block of the Month for the design of the fruit squares.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I kept playing with the placement of the pieces through out the making of the quilt.
