What are you most proud of? I was very quick to make. Not altogether happy with the finish and not the best I have done, but it is an exiting start to something completely new. And totally my own!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Maybe the pencil skirt should be taken in a whole 1" (this was half an inch) and made i woven fabric? My plan is to make this quite plain to show off fabrics with lots of color and flowers on..

It looks like there is too much fabric in the front from the high hip and up. It may be way way your are wearing it or that your waistline is lowere in front which is common. Tie a ribbon around your waist and look from the the side in the mirror with just under cloths. That will tell if your front waist is lower.

Thanks for this comment! I have been thinking a bit about how to alter it for the best fit. I seem to have both a rounder tummy, lowered waist in front and a pelvic tilt. Same fit in stretch and woven fabrics also act and look very different. Still trying around to find what works for me..
