What was your inspiration?
I love texture and versatility, I'm always trying to make items with new interesting combo's of both. I fell in love with this stitch pattern and wanted to do something worthy of its elegant appearance. By adding the removeable straps to what would have been a 'just another' (lovely) cowl, I think that I really accomplished my goals of gorgeous, deep texture and multi-use.
What are you most proud of?
The amount of versatility and the elegance of the lace flow- even with this large guage. You've gotta LOOK at all the pix there are just tons of ways to wear this and they all look wonderful.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Once this is available as a pattern... it seems tricky at first because this is true lace (patterning on all rows) , the chart looks very very intimidating and seems to not make sense at first view, and how to maintain the twisted stich during the SSK, S2KP and K2tog is also confusing at first. But there are only 6 rows per rep and once you've done a few its very intuitive and the chart will make more sense I promise.
