What was your inspiration?
My quilt club is working on a quilt that will be displayed and raffled at a local museum in June. It is New Mexico's 100 Year Centennial so we have asked that local quilters who would like to help make blocks submit 8 1.2 inch blocks regarding something to do with New Mexico's culture and history. One of my blocks is designed using the string block technique in Amy Gibson's Craftsy BOM Course. The other two, I came up with on my own.
What are you most proud of?
Color selections and that all my seams meet nicely and my blocks ended up the size they needed to be!!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Buy a program that helps you determine what sizes you need your blocks to be for the finished size! I just ordered The Quilt Design Wizard software to help me out with this! Can't wait to get it!
