Construction paper, scraps of yarn leftover from knitting projects.
What was your inspiration?
I love cards with lots of texture. And I knit a lot, so I have lots of leftover pieces of yarn from my knitting project. Combine the two and...voila!
What are you most proud of?
That I hand stitched that entire rose without ripping the paper!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
1. Take the time to trace out a design before you start stitching.
2. Go slowly and don't pull the yarn too tight, our you will rip the paper. I have considered doing a repeat of these with a more heavy duty paper (maybe some cardstock, which might be more durable.
