I used surgar cookie dough and 3 candy melts, pink, chocolate and white, also some heart shaped sprinkles. Once the cookies had had cooled, I made them the day before. I melted about a 1/3 of bag of candy melts, this was enough for several cookies. I used 3 small baking dishes to melt each color and only 20 seconds at a time, stirring well between each. I used 15 sec. on the 3rd. time to be sure not to over cook them. The dish gets warm enough to melt them so stir well and they should all melt nicely on the 3 time. I placed my piping bag in to a large tall cup so I could poor the melted candy into the piping bag. I did let the candy melts sit for about 5 minutes, stirring a little before I poored into the bag as it will melt if too hot. I did not use a tip, I cut off very small piece of the end and piped some of the candy melt out to see if it was the size I wanted to use. I cut a little more to make it piping size larger for the bigger cookies. I have used royal icing before to do cookies, but this was kind of fun to use. You will have to work very quickly as the cookie melts will start to harden in the bottom of the bag, the part that is in your hand will stay softer from the heat. You may have to unplug it a time or to if you don't use right away. Have fun..I used surgar cookie dough and 3 candy melts, pink, chocolate and white, also some heart shaped sprinkles.
