Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Retro / Vintage, Classic, Romantic, Holiday

Materials

Boye Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm)and size 10 crochet cotton, a background color (67 Yards), a main rose color (33 Yards) and contrasting rose color (27 Yards) and a stem color (4 Yards).

What was your inspiration?

I love roses and it was valentine's time of year so I designed a doily that would have roses that would never die or fade away.

What are you most proud of?

I love the 3 dimensional effect.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The pattern is fairly easy for someone who has worked with thread. I use a larger hook (Boyle size 1) which is the same size as an aluminum hook size B for people who are intimidated by thread crochet.

Contact information is given on the pattern if there are any questions.

Beautiful doily!! I told my daughter, who likes to crochet, about this pattern. I hope she takes the hint and makes one for me.
