What was your inspiration?
I have had this idea for some time now, but it was my husband's birthday that finally made me carry out this project. We travelled to Paris for a few days and as it is quite cold there, some gloves came in quite handy. I didn't actually sew any hearts on my husband's gloves, but as I had come up with the pattern, I thought I'd take the time and knit three more pairs (yes, besides these, I've made a pink-beige one and a dark and pale blue one).
What are you most proud of?
The hearts, which are knitted separately and sewn on the gloves (one heart on each glove). I've started all over again several times, until I got the perfect-looking edge.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you're not a fan of round-knitting (just like I wasn't at the beginning), do some test-knitting until you master the technique. You will end up with a nicely finished product, that will need very little sewing and therefore will be much more confortable to wear. Once a professional round-knitter,you will want to knit everyhting in the round, even square stuff :o))
