What advice would you give someone starting this project? A Different Kind of Granny Square Red Heart Super Saver Yarn Size I Crochet Hook Start with magic circle 1. ch3, 2dc in circle, ch 2, *3dc in circle, ch2,* around 2 more times, join to top of ch3. (12dc, 4 ch2 sps. 2. Sl st to corner, (sc, ch3, sc) all in corner space. Ch 3, *(sc, ch3, sc) all in next corner space, ch3* around. Join to top of ch 3. (8 ch2 sps) 3. Sl st to corner, ch3, 2dc in corner, ch 2, 3dc in same corner space. *3dc in ch3 loop, (3dc, ch2, 3dc) all in corner* around, join to top of ch 3. Repeat rows 2 and 3 until your square is the size you would like. Border Join with sl st in corner, (ch3, dc, sc, ch3, dc, sc, ch3, dc) all in corner, (sc, ch3, dc) all in sp between 3dc group*. Do this around and join. Notes For this one I used lavender for the first 5 rows, then used white for the 6th row, then back to lavender for row 7. I used white for 5 rows, lavender for one row, then white for one row. By using a different color for the chain 3 loop row, you get a ?stitched? look. It?s really cool and easy to do . Experiment with color changes, and you can get many different looks using this pattern.
