Upcycled Knotted T-Shirt Scarf

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Category: Other

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Eco-Friendly, Cute, Casual

Materials

Old T-shirt in my closet

What was your inspiration?

Upcycling old t-shirts

What are you most proud of?

Adding the brooch.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I wanted to upcycled t-shirts in my closet, but if you wanted to make this for someone, you might want to buy a tee with no side seams so they don't show like mine do. But I think it adds texture and nice contrast with the brooch.

I did stretch them. I guess I just didn't have the right fabric. I think like men's undershirts and not heavy cotton ones.

Suzycue - Did you stretch each band after you cut it? You have to stretch each band so that the tee material starts to curl. I find it helpful to put the bands on the back of a chair and pull.
