Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Children

Style: Whimsical, Cute

Materials

One cotton preprinted panel of hot air balloons, cotton borders and a plush/cotton backing with cotton batting.

What was your inspiration?

Rayna loves hot air balloons.

What are you most proud of?

The ability to combine materials from my vast stash to create something worthy of cuddling up with or making a wall hanging. It's so much fun to be creative and use what I have on hand - to make it work out.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I'm an amateur so not sure if I would be giving anyone advice except to have fun and lose yourself in the project. It's a great stress buster and has a wonderful outcome!

Did you ever do something and then afterwards get a 'duh' moment? I think I should have put the single balloon on the bottom like it was getting ready to take off and the whole sky full of balloons on top. Oh well. Live and learn!!!
