What was your inspiration?
My niece, who is a soldier in the US Army, is going to Afghanistan, so I wanted to honor her and show her love.
What are you most proud of?
My ability to translate what I see without the benefit of cutters, molds, etc.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Practice with the fondant or gumpaste the way you would modeling clay in order to achieve the desired shapes and other items.
