Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. This is a second drawing on tracing paper using the Albertain Veil to determine landscape perspective on the umbrella and chairs.

After Mr. Connors comments and his example regarding my previous drawing, I hope I am getting the use of the Albertian Veil technique.

Very good Sistykay. This is much improved from the previous drawing. You have used the Albertian Veil correctly and to great benefit for your spatial structure. Congratulations.

Your comments are very helpful Patrick. This example of the use of Albertian Veil is very helpful. It is an interesting tool that is challenging me to think in a different way. This a lovely scene that invites the viewer to sit and stay awhile.

Thank you Elizabethnj, I appreciate yours [and, of course, the rest of students'] insights, encouragement, and observations. As you noted, Sistykay's drawing does invite the viewer to sit and stay awhile.

would love to see that in color. Especially if the umbrella was the focal point.
