Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
lost & Found Lane »

Instructions

The majority of the doily pattern was a commercial printed pattern. I will have to look and see what I did with it and post the name of the book and pattern number.

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Formal / Bridal, Retro / Vintage, Victorian / Steampunk, Romantic, Classic, Whimsical, Traditional

Materials

Old umbrella, fabric, crochet cotton No 10

What was your inspiration?

Wanting a Victorian Parasol but wanted something no one else had.

What are you most proud of?

How the fabric fitted the umbrella frame perfectly.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Look at thrift stores for old umbrella's that have the little nibs on the ends of the spokes that are removable. After you take the nibs off the old fabric keep them in a sealed bottle so you don't loose them.
