|Here are some details about my project:|
|Style||Classic, Traditional, Casual|
What materials did you use? Fabric from my stash. A burnout stretch knit print and the plain black knit is a similar weight.
What are you most proud of? I'm most proud of the fact that I had my first attempt at colour blocking and my aim was to create an hourglass effect which I did. I also made the skirt to go with the top so as I had a complete outfit. I used the same black knit fabric that I used in the top. The skirt is self drafted and fits perfectly and I think the length compliments my top. I've blogged about my project here http://chrislucas.com.au/posts/vogue-8793-the-hourglass-tshirt/
What advice would you give someone starting this project? I say just have some fun with this pattern and with what you learned from the class. Katherine & Marcy share a lot of great tips and really give you the confidence to experiment and give things a try. The Vogue 8793 pattern is a great pattern and once you know you've got the fit right you can have some fun with it and change things around and be confident that you'll still get a great fitting t-shirt that you can really dress up or down and still have a t-shirt that will look great and most of all be comfortable to wear. Have fun :)
