This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Decadent Chocolate Cakes »

Instructions

This is a bit time consuming but worth all the effort. Alice's instructions and the included recipes are great, easy to understand and a wonderful project!

Difficulty:

Category: Food & Cooking

Type of item: Food

For: Other

Style: Holiday, Funky

Materials

lots of chocolate! Flour, eggs, lots of butter, cocoa, buttermilk, 3 cake pans, whipped cream.

What was your inspiration?

We had our annual Christmas gathering at a friend's house and I volunteered to make this cake for dessert.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the fact that this picture of the remnants of the cake was the only picture I was able to get. When I brought the cake out after dinner - the guests went after it before I could pull my camera out. They loved it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's a great project - a bit messy and time consuming but worth all the trouble. Get yourself a glass of wine, coffee, tea or whatever, make sure you have all your ingredients handy and have some fun! Share it with friends and family for lots of great compliments!

I can never seem to get photos of any of the "whole" cakes I make. Maybe I need to run with a less hungry crowd??

From what's left, it looks yummy. Must have been by the frenzy that took place. Is everybody back in their cages?! JK : )
