What materials did you use? One panel and one and a half yards of backing fabric with batting

What are you most proud of? Getting all my topstitching done without the fabric folding over.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time baste and stitch slowly over the decorations on the quilt. I used tissue paper to write the name and then stitched through the paper onto the quilt. Only my second time doing the name on the quilt.

This is awesome! Love the topstitching! I'm afraid to try it! But you've inspired me! <3

Write the child's name as nice as possible. Enlarge it on a copier. Take some tissue or pattern paper and lay it over the enlarged copy and trace it. Pin that to the quilt and sew with a topstitch needle through paper and material. If you want to do it before you quilt make sure to use a fusible for stability on the back. Either way it works out fine. This is the second quilt I did the name on. I love to try out new things.

how sweet! Great job with the top stitching and the corners! Love how you brought them into the main quilt, and looks so natural...I'm sure some special little person will enjoy this for a long time to come
