What was your inspiration?
All the patterns in this wonderful book. Although they are designed as canvases for sashiko stitching, I think they would be lovely even without it. All of the patterns in this book start with pieces of fabric 14" x 14"--a great way to use up small pieces you might have sitting around. They are so creative--folded in all sorts of ways, rather like origami.
What are you most proud of?
Picking fabrics and colors that seem to work well together. And actually getting started making one of the bags from this book, which I've had for over a year.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The directions and diagrams are very helpful.
