Instructions

I wasn't sure how this really would turn out. This was a practice piece to try the ends and outs of this quilt block. I've learned to try a smaller piece before investing time and energy into a large project. This way I can get a feel for how it will work and how it quilts. I did quilt this on my machine and it was quick.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Other

Style: Traditional, Retro / Vintage, Classic

Materials

Cotton scraps, batting, quilting border

What was your inspiration?

Another Craftsy project creator!

What are you most proud of?

I think this became a better piece than I anticipated. The black around the edges really helped the design to "pop" and I was able to use a lot of scraps up just on this small runner.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Cut your squares carefully! I used a 3.5 inch block and a 6.5 inch larger block (the white).

Thanks! I've been trying to use up my scraps and this was a great project to accomplish that goal.
