I was inspired by a tutorial on the Lil' Twister Ruler. I made my own and worked out the sizes and cut free hand.

I must admit the appliques were a necessity. My 3 y/o took scissors to the quilt while I was in the process of quilting. One through and through in the frame and several nicks in the backing. Ended up making the quilt better in the long run.

This baby sized quilt is aprox 40"X35". I used scraps, some pieces of fabric are older than my 44 years, example the purple boarder is from the early 70's. I pieced and quilted the quilt on my Pfaff Tiptronic 2040. The body of the quilt is echo quilted and I free motioned a free hand pattern around the boarder.

Your playfulness with colors makes a delightful pattern, and the falling gig that continues to the back reminds me of falling stars! Well done!
