What was your inspiration?
My aunt always makes a baby blanket for my kids, and so for our friends and family when they have children, I take the time to make a special blanket for them. These blankets are bigger than the receiving blankets you get in the store and are great for swaddling.
What are you most proud of?
I was proud that it only took me one evening to make both of them. Also, I was very happy that the little bubbles that occur after you flip them inside out was at a minimum. I have been getting more practice with my St. Rose Sewing Group at church.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Check your fabric! I can not stress this enough. I got home and found out that the boy's fabric was 44" on one end and 41" on the other. The width is supposed to be 45". Thank goodness the fabric store took it back and got me new fabric.
