What was your inspiration?
I wanted to design a headband with ruffles and a button! As girly as it gets, but for everyday.
What are you most proud of?
I love that this is a beginner project - the button hole is a little scary, and it's a lot of increases, but this pattern has pushed my beginner students to try something they didn't think they could tackle, and that makes me feel awesome as both a designer and teacher.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just dig in! It's small and only takes a few hours to complete, so the worst thing that can happen is you have to pull out a few rows and start again. There is gigantic gain with small risk!
