What was your inspiration?
I am giving a shower for a spring baby and wanted to reflect that time of year - so birds nesting and new life is my theme. I found a sample online on a blog site and adjusted it somewhat.
What are you most proud of?
I had no Cricut blades so these were cut by hand and still turned out ok. I added the title card to the front of the invitation and created raffia bird's nests.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
These take about 20 minutes each AFTER you gather all your templates and supplies. Inking around the bird, the title card and the bird's wing makes them look so much better. Use double-stick squared to attach the eggs first then place a second piece just below the eggs. Wrap one piece of raffia around your thumb 4 times and carefully remove. Shape into nest shape and press firmly on the double-stick square you already put on. Use glue to tack town any stray pieces.
