Materials

Quitled using a dredan plate, a coloring book turkey as template for the body applique. I used Insul-Bright as batting, so it could be used to protect the table from warm dishes.

What was your inspiration?

I saw a bulletin board in front of a kindergarten class in which each child decorated a coloring book style turkey. I loved the simplicity of the bird body. Then I saw a youtube video on how to use a dresdan plate as the turkey feathers. I simply combined the two.

What are you most proud of?

I love that I was able to make this project without purchasing any fabric. The hardest part was figuring out the sizes. OOOH, and I finished it BEFORE Thanksgiving!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just have fun with this..
