Tunic Vest

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Tunic Vest unisex vest in cotton or wool »

Instructions

I originally made this in a cotton blend for tennis and then made it up in wool and loved it.

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Traditional, Geeky, Casual, Outdoorsy, Retro / Vintage, Preppy, Classic, Hipster

Materials

Plymouth Jeannee yarn

What was your inspiration?

I wanted a vest I could wear to tennis, but I didn't like the traditional ribbing at the bottom.

What are you most proud of?

I love the neckline and how "neat" it looks.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I suggest taking time to choose your colors and choosing contrasting colors with a similar intensity.

Can you use this pattern for a man also? I need a simple vest like this for my husband and have it fit 3x. Need help desperately!

This could be made for a man since it has not waist shaping but I only go up to size 42 bust. Do you mean 3X ladies size? Of course, 42 still isn't large enough. I can't just add another size easily because of the twisted stitches.
