Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Quilting Quickly II: Patterns, Techniques & Tips »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Charity

Style: Traditional

Materials

Charm package, cotton fabric for backing and batting and cotton threads to match.

What was your inspiration?

The class Quilting Quickly.

What are you most proud of?

That I was asked if I would donate a quilt to the animal rescue for auction.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just follow the class instructions and always choose the material you like. It's more fun to work on a project if you like the material.

I agree about working with material you like. I have tried to sew quilts for others before, but they were not in colors or patterns I would have chosen so it was not very fun. Now if only I knew other people would like and buy what I make (if I could part with things). I do like making things for people when I do know what they like.

Thanks for looking at my baby quilt. I agree it was very hard for me to donate this quilt but I try to remember it has to goals. Someone will get some enjoyment out of it and the rescue group will get some money for it.
