Instructions

Very involved - and too many different patterns to discuss here - not enough room I am sure. I do belive the blocks were about 20" square, but I do not have the dimensions at hand or how large the quilt actually is.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Whimsical, Funky, Mod

Materials

Mostly cotton blends and some polyester blends. Polyester batting, thread, quilt binding tape, sewing supplies & tools.

What was your inspiration?

My co-worker had a friend she wanted me to make a quilt for her wedding. I discussed it with the girl and she picked out the colors and the patterns. It was all pretty new to me - and I had to be pretty inventive to make all the blocks come out evenly. This is probably the largest quilt I have ever made and the hardest I have ever pieced together. I also made her some pillows and shams to match.

What are you most proud of?

How well they liked it, once they received it . I also love the way it fits on the bed.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Do not tackle a really difficult project like this unless you really know what you are doing - some of the patterns I did not have instructions on - and had to "wing it" trying to make the blocks.
