Instructions

I used an Arts & Crafts stained glass pattern for the basis of the design. Hand-painted using the Inktense pencils and outlined with a fabric gel pen. Then quilted, attached and finished the piece with accessories found at my local craft store. Fun!

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Whimsical, Cute, Casual, Traditional

Materials

Cotton fabric, silk & cotton thread, Inktense color pencils, cotton batting, decorative stamps & dimensional card-making supplies.

What was your inspiration?

The stained glass pattern book I found. Easy to translate to quilts!

What are you most proud of?

Experimenting with painting the fabric using the Inktense pencils and a watercolor effect.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Even though the color seeped outside the lines, I still like the look of the quilt. We actually see what is suggested, even if it isn't perfect! Have fun. :)
