Oh, he loved it! He couldn't wear the shirts anymore and he didn't want to get rid of them either.

I love this quilt. I want to make one for my sister who's son passed away. We have several pieces of clothing.

I have done a couple as well from clothes that belonged to those who had passed on. I think my favorite was one with flannel shirts. Not only would it be warm but the memory of the one it belonged to will be comforting as well. . :) I learned on the tshirt pieces is to be sure and use a good fusible interfacing. Not one that is for knits either as it will stretch some as you quilt it and makes puckers!

We are doing this for my son for Christmas, except we are using all his old rock t-shirts. There will be no other material on the front - all t-shirts. the backing will be leopard print jersey material. And we're using quilt strap in black around the edges.

Hi, I'm new to making t shirt quilts. If i did not want any other material on the front, just t-shirts, how do i sew t-shirts together and how do i make srue they are all the same size after sewing? how much material would i have to take from each t-shirt to keep it all even?

I love this quilt! It is very similair to the one i wish to make, but i have never worked with t-shirts for a quilt. Are there some instructions or hint's for me. I have been saving t-shirt for 3 years and am ready to make it,but how ,without messing it up.
