One king sized flat sheet, plus a little extra for the ruffles 7 meters 11mm wide spring steel boning
What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make a replica of a dress from the BBC TV series 'The Paradise' so I thought I'd make a nice bustle to go under it! (Though this is probably larger than what they wear on the show, however I've now decided to, hopefully, make the "Wishing gown" from Phantom of the Opera)
What are you most proud of?
The fact that I finished it so quickly! (Just 2 days!)And I just love the size of it (however I can't take credit for that).
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This pattern is quite simple, so I don't think there's any advice I can give really. Except that if you haven't tried Truly Victorian's patterns, then you must if you like that style of clothing! They are far better than companies like Simplicity or Butterick. These patterns are for clothes, not costumes! :)
