Materials

The ribbon is made of hand dyed silk in tones of vibrant blues with slight hints of green and brown... the blue is so brilliant, makes me think of the Caribbean ocean. At the center is a beautiful single Karen Hill Tribe silver bead in the form of a sun. On either side of the sun are two lampwork beads in a lovely rich teal colour with a wavy line of silver running down the middle, reminiscent of waves.

What was your inspiration?

I felt inspired by the sun bead. I wanted to create something themed about summer, something that made me think of the beach. The blue coloured ribbon along with the teal glass beads seemed fitting as representing the water and sky. Even the beads have these silver waves in them, like the sunlight reflecting on the water.
