I'm a little disappointed in this pattern as I believe the logs are not placed well together. This causes "puckering" with certain logs and makes the piece lopsided. I'm thinking of retooling the logs, specifically omitting certain logs and replacing with better suited slip stitch patterns.

Love the colors you choose. This is not bad for your first go at stranding. The puckering is caused when the yarn that carries across the back is too tight, major number one problem with all first time stranded projects. The logs will actually be proper size when you get the hang of carrying the yarn more loosely. Yours' aren't nearly as puckered as my first stranded project was. I hope you try with these same logs again, because when you carry the yarn loose enough I think you will really be pleased with how they look next to the other logs.

Thank you for that information! I'm starting another square today and hope to get better results. You are correct, this is my first stranded project so I'm noticing a better result even in the first square....

Blocking each square with blocking wires will make a big difference too. Mine always look a bit wonky until I block them
