Instructions

This is a knit-to-fit design; instructions are in the pattern.

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Unisex

Style: Mod, Classic, Hipster

Materials

Hand painted yarns; 150 yds. each, 100% wool from A Wrinkle in Thyme Farm in Sumner, ME. set of 4 12" double pointed US 5 needles. Locking stitch marker Darning needle

What was your inspiration?

Robin Hansen's traditional Maine Mitten pattern, "Striped Rib,' and spiraling snail shells.

What are you most proud of?

I adore this design. I've made many for friends, and they adore them. Knitters always notice; want to know if it's brioche. (It's not.)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you knit continental and can hold both yarns on your left hand, it's a snap.

The yarns are from A Wrinkle in Thyme Farm, a small sheep farm with a fiber processing center. They were hand-dyed in the dye kitchen on site. Resident artist Marty can custom-dye yarns to suit you for this project. They were hand-dyed in the dye kitchen on site. www.awrinkleinthymefarm.com
