What was your inspiration?

I was asked to create a piece to help inspire someone on a very difficult path. This class is the prefect answer to creating a piece of touchable and visually pleasing art. This tree stands as a reminder that life happens but what you make of it is in the eye of the beholder. The leaves have sentiments to encourage and remind us there will be texture to our path, hard spots and soft ones, pretty and not so pretty. There is beauty all around us in people, actions and art. Live it, breath it and most of all FIGHT for the right to experience it.

What are you most proud of?

The entire outcome really represents my sketch and the intent of the piece. It's so much more beautiful in person than these photos can show. Thank You Carol Ann Waugh.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Follow instructions however don't be afraid to experiment, get two or three pieces going at once when feeling more comfortable try the technique on something you wouldn't expect to see it on. YOU WILL LOVE IT and if you need more personal attention take her class in Denver. She's full of fun, inspiration and jokes.

No, it's commercial cotton print. It just so happened to work for the piece.
