What are you most proud of? I made this is a rush, from beginning to end, it took me 45 minutes :) Some of my points are not perfect buy I needed it in a hurry.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The pattern measurements for the tree trunk made it too thick and the tree trunk base was difficult to follow but otherwise a very fun block to make. There are so many possibilities with this block and variations to try. The Quilter's Cache has lots of free downloadable patterns, totally recommend it.

This pretty block would be good as a center block for a quilt. Way too many HSTs! Good job!

That is such a great idea Darns. What blocks do you think would be suitable to surround this one with?

wow 45 mins. - it would take me that long to get the fabric ready to cut, lol turned out lovely - like Darns suggestion to use it as centre block & thanks for the Quilters Cache address - love the free patterns available on line

HI, I made a tree of life quilt for my daughter way back when. I used only greens and browns and the whole centre of the the quilt was the tree. Your colours in this block but larger would look great!! Not as much work with larger (one) tree and a bunch of your life pictures around it. I love your colour choices!!

Thanks for the advice lynne, I would really love to see your quilt, fancy putting it up on your crafsty projects??? Yes and I definitely think making larger tree would be much easier. I will be making this block pattern again.

I'll see if Dana still has it in good shape. Unfortunately for some of us, our hand made items don't get taken care of. I don't make her many things as she has 4 dogs that ruin everything. Need a prayer on that one!!

Haha lynne I know what you mean. Hopefully it will be in good enough shape and I look forward to seeing it :)
