How to make a treble clef with wire »

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Traditional

Materials

Copper wire, malachite diamond shaped stones, head pins, french wires

What was your inspiration?

I have always been musical

What are you most proud of?

That I got two of them to look the same!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be patient. Don't start at the bottom, start with the right-most curl and work up. I now keep one as a "template" to make recreating it easier.

I have been wondering about a bass clef. You would have to make 2 loops to the right for the "colon"...it might work!

Thank you for posting the video. I made some starting at the bottom and will try your way now. I had not thought of adding the little stones. Very nice!

Wow - gorgeous. I've been thinking of making a treble clef pendant for my mother inlaw to match a brooch I made her - thanks for the inspiration xx

I have an earring/necklace set in the works in silver-tone, I never got around to adding beads (how silly of me, the hard work is done!!)

I was so surprised to see your treple clef earrings for I make them as well out of aluminum (16 gauge) and pound them and put crystals or school colors for the band and choral groups. I will share with you how I make them look alike. I draw the earring I want to make on paper put it on a piece of wood, pound nails at key places to bend it in the shape I want to (I do many different images), after making the first shape, I leave it down there while I bend the second one to make them look as closely as possible. Then I remove them, pound them, put earwires on them and the stones I choose to hang from the bottom. Hope the idea helps. Blessings, pattishifflett@windstream.net

That is much easier than I do, which is make one I like, then use IT as a pattern, but I am still manually wrapping the wires. Using a jig sould be much quicker!

Nice job! Love copper jewelry. Bending the treble clef probably wasn't easy.

Not since I played piano for 12 years, and am very picky! Now I can do it easily but my first few had to be tossed.
