|Here are some details about my project:|
|Style||Traditional, Funky, Classic, Whimsical|
What materials did you use? Alexander Henry's Cartas Marcadas fabric for the body and the handles/lining are from Sweetwater for Moda's Hometown collection.
What are you most proud of? I'm most proud of the fact that I have a bag that is completely me. I'm also proud that I felt confident enough to make the changes to allow the bag to work even better for how I travel. It also came with me on a flight that departed one year to the day after I took my first sewing lesson. :)
What advice would you give someone starting this project? Try to find a print that isn't directional or where you don't have to fret so much over placement of the pockets, etc. I'd also recommend a sewing machine with a high presser foot lift. Some of the assembly when putting the sides onto the body of the bag can be tricky if you can't easily get it under the foot of the machine.
