Materials
Knit Pick's Imagination yarn in fingering weight. It is Merino Wool, Superfine Alpaca and Nylon. The color I chose for this project is Ruby Slippers.
What was your inspiration?
I so enjoyed Laura Nelkin's class on Mastering Lace Shawls and that was inspiration enough to get me excited about her mystery KAL. Also this was my first attempt at adding beads to my work. The beautiful yarns and glass bead choices were also very exciting!
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud that I conquered and finished this project. While it felt a bit like eating an elephant at first, taking it in bite sized portions showed me that I could accomplish what I thought was impossible for me to learn. Learning to incorporate beads into my work also makes me feel very gratified!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't look at the whole big picture, but take it one step at a time and just enjoy the process. it will definitely be worth it when you've finished.
