What was your inspiration?
I own many old books with traditional Swiss Crossstitch Patterns (Buendnerstickerei). The patterns can be mix-matched but they are usually mirrored as a picture or as a border of table cloth, table runners, curtains, apons or anything. Those patterns may also be transferred into a knitting design.
The project is always done in a reddish, brown-read or blue color.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
one must stitch very accurate. Any mistake will show immediately .
