Tote It Around
InstructionsThis bag was made by simply knitting garter st panels and sewing them together. I made a big, long strap and one big side and bottom and a flap to cover the top, sewed it all up and added lining and pockets inside. I put a large wooden button and a tie to hold it shut. If anyone is interested, I will be happy to assist with pattern on my email: at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Type of item: Accessory
Style: Casual, Classic
200 gr Noro Furisode yarn....1/2 yd of satin, needle to weave ends, large wooden button, 1 skein fun fur, size 8 needles, 1/2 yd soft felt or fleece for an inner lining, pony tail tie....lots of time!
What was your inspiration?
I needed a knitting tote. I had a lot of Noro Furisode yarn. I was living in an RV at the time and had nothing to keep my projects in so I made this but never ended up using it. It sits in a bag in our storage unit. I would be happy to sell it since it has never been used. Email me if interested.
What are you most proud of?
I was able to make this as my first project last year without becoming stir-crazy in the RV.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This was an easy first project. It just took time to measure and get the pieces to fit and then decide what else I wanted to put on it. I did put fun fur on the blue band to hold it shut but there isn't a picture of that since I did it more recently. All in all, it was fun. I would be happy to help anyone make one just email me for a pattern for only $7.00.
