What was your inspiration?

I'm sending a box or two of baby things to my sweet sister-in-law for her soon-to-be newest grandchild, so I made this for her. Just because.

Hi 2 strings. I love the sweetheart (neck) top of your bag and curvey exterior pocket and bottom of the bag. Your design and fabric make a great summer bag. Love the details: covered button, constrasting solid fabric patch at the interior zipper line. Beautiful work.

Yes, it started out as basic tote pattern, but I didn't like the boxy look and then added grommets, and then after a few more changes and tweaks it became it's own thing!

Love it! I can never stick to a pattern or follow directions exactly as given. Seems like something always needs tweaking.

Okay, no pattern? So that is even more impressive! I kind of did the same with a tote that I made too. (In case you haven't seen it, it is the British Tote in my projects) If you post a pattern, I would love to know!

I've seen your British tote, but I didn't realize it was your own design. I've added some details to mine and tons of pockets, but the basic process doesn't vary much. The fabrics in your tote are wonderful and making it reversible was a great idea.

Hooray! More daughters! Thank you so muchI'm sorry I can't help you with the pattern. I don't use any patterns for my bags and purses - just squares and squares with curved corner. I should probably make one of these up as a pattern to put up on Craftsy.

I'm so glad you like it. Making your own piping is really such a useful skill. Like you said, it looks so professional and it's really not difficult at all to make and sew into your projects. There are numerous tutorials online that you can check out. I took a quick look at Google and this one popped up first. It looks like it should be very easy to follow: http://sew4home.com/tips-resources/sewing-tips-tricks/how-make-and-attach-your-own-piping . I'm sure there are video tutorials as well. Let me know if this is helpful to you.
