What was your inspiration?
The picture is not the best - sorry!
This was just a fun birthday cake that I did for someone that told me the girl like sage greens, teal & pink and was in love with all the fun cakes that looked like they were "out-of-whack"!
What are you most proud of?
All my little teal bits!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I have learned to cut my angles from the tops or bottoms per tier. For this one I cut the angle on the bottom tier, iced, & covered. Then I used the cut off piece the gage how much of an angle to trim off the bottom of my middle tier. Why? you ask...well this is because I found that working on the middle tier - I like the stability of coating & covering my middle tier first so as to hold their shape before creating my angles which then really only gave me the option of trimming the angle off the bottom. But I could pick it up and off several times without it's shape shifting because I had already covered it. Then I did the top tier like I did the bottom tier. May seem odd to some, but it works for me. :o)
