Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Re-Piecing the Past: Civil War Blocks Then & Now »

Instructions

Follow the classes and listen to Kaye. She is an incredible instructor. I cut the 2" blocks without a seam allowance so I pieced them with the 1" strips I had cut to make this section of sashing. I like it and used up my mistake.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Other

Style: Traditional

Materials

Scraps on hand, mostly from Patriots in Petticoats.

I've got the blocks done, just waiting to get to it. I put it aside for a minute while I did something else.

I cant wait to see more of your quilt. I remember having concerns about the connector blocks being too busy for the quilt, but somehow it all manages to pull together. I also did some planning in placement of some of my fabrics.

Since the sashing had so much color, I made sure to put it close to two blocks with only 2 colors in them, less busy that way.
