Materials

I used fine black wool for the Top and softer Wool for the skirt.

What was your inspiration?

I like the Play Version very much and the Top is the test for the Jacket. Red woolfabric and the tartanfabric from the skirt a still waiting in the sewingroom. I am going to sew it in the next month and show it here. Top and skirt a good outfit for Christmas Eve.
The dressform we made in the sewinggroup last summer. It is a very helpful artifact.

what is on top of your paper dress form? What is the white? Years ago I made a duct tape double and was never very happy with it. My sister in-law has agreed to wrap me (I bought the paper tape from Blick - it came very quickly)

On the top of my paper dress form I installed a sponge (normally used in the kitchen) covered whith a white little sox (for tennis). I use it for pins.

ok, as far as the multiples, I clicked on my red screen name after sending a trial post and that deleted the post, I dont know if it would work after the fact, but try it, then use arow to get back to post and it has disappeared! hope this helps!

Yes some wools are very difficult, I am sorry, maybe you can use a different thickness next time? Also if you left a bit more ease, Ive made two pin tucks parallel to zipper and that has given it a bit if structure. Also maybe a little lining or interlining with an iron on product just on bacK, I know how frustrating it can be. Im hoping for the best, its a wonderful start, and you are obviously a perfectionist, good luck, and keep us posted.

Love it, you have a great eye for color combos. Maybe the darts can be lowered a bit on the bust next time? I love the long sleeves. Was the back a little snug, I would suggest a compression foundation for smoothness. Maybe Barbara can help with a suggestion for better fit.

Dear Karmi, I lowered the darts but is is a problem with the handling of the fabric. I'll correct it and show a new foto. On ther back there is a problem, I can not improve. The seam is regid because there I sewed the invisible zip.
