Yes this is my own creation...unfortunately I am one of those cooks who rarely follows a recipe so this was a combination of chocolate cake with a mocha coffee icing...I made a light whipped frosting as follows: I started with prepared nutriwhip whipped topping, I added icing sugar and some cocoa powder and instant espresso powder and kept whipping it till it was quite smooth and glossy; then frosted the cake and sprinkled skor chipits on top. Then I created the roses... I purchased A LOT of the long tootsie rolls... Have a wooden cutting board with a thin layer of white sugar and rolling pin ready - then I took a whole long tootsie roll and placed it on parchment paper and put it in the takes only like 10-20 seconds to make it pliable -carefully move the hot tootsie to the board and put it on the very quickly roll out the tootsie into a very long flat start to roll the roses tightly at first and forming "petals" quickly as you go around the centre to form flowers. When you are very confident you can use a choc kiss for the centre of some and create small "buds" and use some of the flattened rolls to make sure to give the petals and leaves a few wrinkles to give then more of a life like appearance...Don't get discouraged it will take practice to form a really nice rose! You can hide the parts of the flowers you don't like too much with the leaves creating a sort of vine of flowers, buds and leaves and I added some silk feathers and some really pretty chop sticks too!...feel free to e-mail me if you need any extra tips! Happy Creating, HUGS!
