Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Unisex

Style: Military, Classic, Retro / Vintage, Eco-Friendly, Traditional

Materials

old t-shirts and backing to stablize the stretchy material. Cotton fabric in between and used the shirt backs as well for filler fabric.

What was your inspiration?

Use the t-shirts my husband had been collecting for 20 years.

What are you most proud of?

He loved it and I actually surprised him for christmas! This was my first quilt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go for it! Don't worry about how worn or how stained the shirts may seem they blend in and look great when quilted. What a great memory and eco friendly way to save money.

I love the quilt. It's a great way to get rid of all those tee shirts.

I love your idea! Not only a great sentimental gift for a husband or other loved one, but you can get all those ratty old t-shirts out of his wardrobe as well.

I love this quilt! My husband runs and has quite a collection of t-shirts too - this would be a perfect gift for him. Thanks for the inspiration and advice!
