What was your inspiration?
My inspiration was def my daughter. When I was pregnant with her, I taught myself how to crochet. I first made her a sweater and a couple hats. Then another sweater. But it was always off of another pattern. I had always thought about writing my own patterns and one day I was just sitting around my house looking for a cute skirt pattern to make for her and I came across this really pretty stitch. I thought to myself, why not make one of my own. It worked!! :)
What are you most proud of?
This is my first written pattern for sale. I'm very proud to have been able to get it out there and I hope other people will find joy in making this skirt for their loved one!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
GAUGE yarn and hook. I can't stress this enough. I know some people who do not check their gauge before they start and it is very important. I crochet very tightly so I also find myself having to go up in hook size. PLEASE PLEASE make sure you check your gauge with yarn you decide to use and get the correct hook, otherwise it will come out too small or too big. You want to make sure this skirt fits nicely, because there are no lies to make it fit tightly.
