What advice would you give someone starting this project? Lo tedioso del punto, es que hay que hacer el punto asterisco en toda la tira que se usara para la toalla, luego se pasa por los asteriscos deacuerdo al diseo. Y no olvidar el aro.

Hi all - This is known as gingham lace, Chicken Scratch,... If you put in chicken scratch to google, you should see some lovely examples and tutorials. The Cross is a foundation stitch and the rest is built around it. If you look at the second picture that has 22:33 on it, you can see the individual crosses. the circles are made AFTER simple lines are stitched across the boxes. REally easy to do. History is that it came to be when ladies couldn't afford lace so used the gingham fabric as a guide and stitched on it to look like lace. Also called depression lace. Hope this helps some of you enjoy this piece of history -- rare to see this nowadays....
